Biking at Shark Valley

Shark Valley's 15-mile loop road can be biked at your own pace instead of riding the guided tram — a popular option for visitors who want more time at the halfway-point observation tower or more flexibility to stop for wildlife. Most cyclists plan for 2-4 hours to complete the full loop.

Bicycle rentals are available at the Shark Valley Visitor Center for $25 per bike. The paved road is flat and closed to private vehicle traffic beyond the visitor center, so it's a comfortable ride for casual cyclists, not just experienced ones. The same 70-foot observation tower and sawgrass marsh views the tram tour visits are reachable this way, just on your own schedule.
