This small museum punches well above its size. Housed in Homestead's original town hall, it preserves the kind of local history that usually gets lost: stories about how this corner of South Florida was settled, survived, and rebuilt over the decades. The exhibits are well organized and easy to move through, even with kids in tow.

The guides here are the real draw. Visitors consistently mention how knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic the staff are, the kind of people who can connect an old photograph or artifact to a story you'll actually remember. It's a different kind of experience than the self-guided walk-through you might expect from a small-town museum.

Stopped by the Historic Town Hall of Homestead and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a small museum, but it offers a really interesting glimpse into Homestead’s history—especially stories you don’t usually hear or see preserved. The exhibits are well put together and easy to walk through without feeling overwhelming. It’s also right in the heart of the historic area, so it’s a perfect quick stop if you’re nearby and it's free entrance. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy local history or just want to discover something a little different.

We learnt an enormous amount about the local history here. The knowledgeable and interesting curator was keen to tell us about many of the articles and their relevance. Definitely worth visiting to find out how Homestead and it's surrounding area developed. Free entry and donations welcome.
