So much potential. Gorgeous walk around the ponds with plenty of wildlife to see, unfortunately, the trash and random cars driving around on the grass off of the parking lot makes it unwelcoming. Such a shame thw city would let it go.

A peaceful lakeside green space where wildlife roams, kids play, and the pace slows way down.
Fasulo Park is a two-section green space in Florida City, right at the edge of Everglades country. There's a lake with a gazebo, a playground, and enough open grass to stretch your legs between long drives. It's the kind of place where you can actually exhale.
The wildlife is the real draw. Cranes, ducks, and the occasional heron move around the lake like they own the place (because they kind of do). Locals bring bread for the ducks. Fishermen try their luck along the water's edge. Dogs on leashes are welcome, and the walking path around the lake is an easy, flat loop.
It's a good stop for families with kids who need to run around after a morning in Everglades National Park, which is just a few miles west. The playground gives younger kids something to do while everyone else takes in the scenery.
Nothing here is polished or manicured. This is a neighborhood park with a lot of natural character, and the lakeside views have a quiet, unhurried quality that fits perfectly with the pace of the surrounding area. Bring your own snacks, wear comfortable shoes, and let the kids feed the ducks.

Don't come alone to this park. The ducks are nice to look at. Trash everywhere, the bridge is not stable since it hasn't been updated since 93. The playground is missing a slide.

Lots of things to see. Nice place to walk. Lots of trash though.

A rare patch of South Florida pineland, open around the clock for hiking, biking, and breathing room.

A quiet slice of native South Florida pine rockland, right outside the Everglades.

Fresh tropical fruit, legendary milkshakes, a petting zoo, and the kind of place you'll talk about for years.

Shaded pine trails, native wildlife, and a wooden boardwalk that makes it easy for the whole family to explore.

Genuine Caribbean cooking with great service and even better vibes.

A laid-back hostel with private rooms, a garden, and a natural spring backyard — budget-friendly lodging with real character.
