We rented with El Monte RV Rentals for our trip from NewYork down to Miami over 2 weeks. When we were picking our Van up in NewYork they offered us early collection which suited us perfectly. When arriving they were all so welcoming & thorough when explaining everything in the Van & how it all worked. Along the road thankfully everything went smoothly. When we arrived in Miami, the drop off was so easy & seamless. Would 100% rent with them again!

We paid approximately $5,000 for a 21-day RV trip. Our family of five, including three children (ages 0, 2, and 4), was looking forward to this journey, but it turned into a nightmare due to the company's negligence and poor support. From day one, the refrigerator was broken. All the food we prepared, including homemade baby food for our infant, spoiled and had to be thrown away. We were forced to give our baby store-bought food with additives and had to stop at supermarkets every single day to buy ice, wasting precious travel time. As a family with three small children, not being able to freeze anything or even enjoy ice cream was a huge burden. When I contacted El Monte support, they provided troubleshooting steps that didn't work. Once I brought up the topic of a refund, they completely stopped responding. This lack of responsibility from the LA pick-up location, where the pre-trip inspection clearly failed, is unacceptable. Upon returning the RV in Miami, they initially offered a measly $310 refund. This didn't even cover the cost of the spoiled food and the daily ice, let alone the immense stress and lost time. After escalating to the corporate office, they flatly stated that $510 was their "maximum offer" with no room for negotiation. It is a shame. A friend of mine also had a major issue with no hot water in their El Monte rental and never received a refund. If everything goes perfectly, this company might be fine. But if you encounter any trouble, their support is irresponsible and dismissive. I strongly advise looking elsewhere if you want a reliable RV experience for your family.

We had a nice trip. The El Monte class C rental was ok. Nothing fancy. Very basic. The refrigerator wasn't cooling well, so we decreased the temperature, but then the whole thing froze up and we had too turn it off for a day to defrost. The RV pulled to the right, which was a bit of an annoyance but it ran strong and completed the journey. Some RV parks turned us away because they only let in class A motor homes!! Having a back up camera was good. They charged us extra for everything: milage, pots, coffeemaker, blankets, sheets, pillows towels. All extra charges. It seems like it could use new shocks because every time we hit a bump the whole RV shook and rattled. The cab was pretty noisy so we couldn't really listen to the radio and there wasn't Bluetooth. Overall we had a good time.

We had a great experience on our 7 week trip with 2 toddlers. Pick up was great, friendly and helpful. RV worked flawless even though it wasn't the newest. Drop off was done in 10min. Again friendly and great customer service. Can't complain and can only recommend. We were skeptical after reading the reviews here but had a great experience overall.

This place is amazing. My mom and I rented their “medium” size RV for almost the entire month of August 2019 to drive from Fort Lauderdale Florida, to south western Pennsylvania just She and I and our two doggies. It cost us about 5,000$ with the $1,000 deposit. We had a problem with the generator by the time we reached Palm Coast, Florida. Only because it was August and over heated a bit...but, we called El Montes road side service and they had us up and fixed in no time. It was a pleasure to call this RV our home away from home for a month. Only thing I’d suggest is a better cleaning company. Our RV was filthy on the inside before we took off. We had to do a lot of cleaning before hand. The company took about $150 off the top for the extra cleaning we had to do. JUST MAKE SURE YOU DOCUMENT EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING you see may be a problem BEFORE you take off on your journey. All in all I give this company a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. Would absolutely rent with them again.
