About

Southern Comfort RV Resort sits in Florida City, right at the edge of Everglades National Park and about 20 minutes from the Florida Keys. It's a practical base for snowbirds, road-trippers, and anyone who wants to explore South Florida without paying Miami hotel prices. Monthly rates around $1,250 make it a genuine value for longer stays, especially in winter when the rest of South Florida gets pricey.

The resort offers RV sites and cabin rentals, with a pool, tiki bar, laundry facilities, and enough amenities to make a longer stay comfortable. Guests mention the clean, relaxed atmosphere and friendly neighbors. Peacocks and peahens wander the grounds, which adds a distinctly South Florida touch you won't find at a standard campground.

The staff gets consistent praise. Management, security, and the maintenance crew all come up in reviews as friendly and attentive. Long-term guests in particular appreciate the sense of community here. It's the kind of place where you actually get to know your neighbors.

Dogs are welcome, which matters when you're traveling with a pet. The location puts you close to grocery stores and everyday conveniences while still feeling removed from the city. Biscayne National Park, the Keys, and multiple Everglades entry points are all within easy reach. If you're planning a week or more in the area, this is a solid home base.

My husband, myself and our small dog live in the park. The staff in the office and on the grounds are wonderful. We have had no problems to speak of in the almost 3 years we have been there. I would highly recommend this place. You are near to everything you could possibly need. Stores and restaurants etc.

Let me start off by saying management is amazing! This is by no means their fault, unless they find a way to start policing it, but… We had been traveling non-stop for a few weeks to escape the cold, and finally got here, got set up, and quickly got to bed. At 4:03 am I was awoken to the sound of loud trucks grumbling through the parking lot. Luckily I was able to fall back asleep, but at 4:45 am the loudest of all the grumbling engines seemed to pause RIGHT OUTSIDE my rig. After it didn’t stop for ten minutes, I was extremely upset and got up to see what the heck was going on. A man had decided it was OK to park his Camaro with extremely loud exhaust outside the bathrooms. That’s right, he DROVE to the bathrooms from his campsite 50 yards away, then left his car idling while he showered, pooped, etc. I brought to his attention what he was doing and he apologized and drove back to his campsite. I laid back down, closed my eyes, then someone else decided they would start up their F350 right next to me at 5:22 am so I gave up and got up and back on the road. So much for the restorative sleep I needed after 7 straight days of driving, sleeping horribly at rest stops and interstate gas stations. It is also right next to the highway which is extremely loud all waking hours of the day. And to think… We paid money to park somewhere and have a terrible night of sleep. Never again would I even come close to considering staying here.

We've been in our RV here for a couple of months and so far have loved it. It's a clean relaxed atmosphere. The peacocks and peahens walking around are pretty. It's quiet and convient to everything, but still feels far off the beaten path. All the neighbors have been very nice. The laundry room is affordable and always VERY clean. The office staff are always kind and helpful. The maintenance/ground crew are just as helpful and kind as well. It's like you're a part of the family here. We plan on a long stay and I'm sure it will get even better with the snowbirds.

Nice little RV park, everyone here is very friendly! Lots of accommodations, nice pool, nice laundry facilities, nice tiki bar. It is a little noisy though from the surrounding streets, and it never stops. So be expecting that if you stay here. Other than that the place is great!

We stayed at this park for 4 months this year and we absolutely loved it. I like the staff, security, and maintenance team. They are very friendly and good people. It’s a great location, and for $1,250 a month in Homestead during winter is a pretty good deal. Plus, it’s very close to the Florida Keys, Everglades National Park, and, of course, Miami. Love the peacocks and the beautiful sound they make every morning. They are very friendly and great to have them around the park. Will miss this place and will definitely come back next year.
