About

City Seafood sits right on the water in Everglades City, the kind of place your airboat captain tells you about after a morning on the Ten Thousand Islands. Grab a picnic table outside, order at the window, and settle in. The view is free.

The menu is exactly what you want after a day in the backcountry. Fried baskets of shrimp, fish, and oysters. Conch fritters and hush puppies. Stone crab when it's in season (and at prices that won't make you flinch). If you're feeling adventurous, the alligator is worth trying. The softshell crab sandwich has its fans too.

This is casual, outdoor, waterside dining. You order, you wait, you eat with your hands. Beer and wine are available, which pairs well with the whole "we just spent four hours in a boat" energy. Families and groups do well here. There's room, there's shade, and the portions are solid.

City Seafood is on the Gulf Coast side of the Everglades, about 35 miles from the main park entrance on the east side. If you're doing the full Everglades loop or spending time around Everglades City and Chokoloskee, this is a natural stop for lunch or dinner. Takeout is available if you'd rather eat on the dock somewhere down the road.

City seafood was recommended to us by our airboat captain. We barely made it before closing as we had done two airboats rides and a few other things. We tried the gator since we've never experienced that being from out of town. I ordered the softshell crab sandwich, which was tasty. My spouse ordered the fish wrap. All of the food was delicious and was something new for us. I'd go back if I was in town again.

A perfect place to come after an Airboat tour! The stone crab was delicious and fairly priced. Everything to eat and drink was refreshing and tasty. We loved the experience here!!

Absolutely loved this dockside place. Great seafood. Stone crabs in season were a great price. Skip the honey mustard, but the butter was great. Amazing conch fritters, hush puppies, and fried oysters. Grab some cold beers but skip the dessert. The apple fritter and key lime pie were not great. Definitely come early on the weekends. The line goes into the parking lot. Avoid the tables that are splinters waiting to happen. Sit facing the water. Loved the vibe!

Sitting in the sun with the freshest of seafood in a blackened fish wrap. What's not to like? Great selection of Seaford including Stone Crab or if you like you can even have gator. Couldn't ask for better. Very clean rest rooms too.
