About

Everglades City is remote by design. That's the whole point. But remote means you're sometimes an hour from the nearest grocery store, and that's where this Circle K earns its place on the map. It's a 24-hour convenience store and gas station right in town, stocked with snacks, drinks, coffee, and hot food including sandwiches, hot dogs, and pizza.

The hot food program is a genuine bright spot. Reviewers have called out the warm sandwiches and fresh-bun hot dogs specifically, with one person comparing the condiment setup to a ballpark. The pizza gets mentioned too. For a convenience store in a small Gulf Coast town, that's a solid lineup.

Gas prices here run cheaper than nearby competitors, and they sell firewood bundles if you're camping at Everglades National Park's Gulf Coast campgrounds or nearby sites. The staff have a reputation for being friendly and helpful, even walking customers through the Circle K app.

If you're paddling the Ten Thousand Islands, fishing Florida Bay, or just passing through on the Tamiami Trail, this is a practical and reliable stop. Open around the clock, with a public restroom on site. Sometimes that's exactly what you need.

This store used to be well stocked all the time about three to four years ago but now it's different. The merchandise is never put up. I have to get the canned tea that is stacked up on the floor and it's hard sometimes because other teas are stacked on top of the ones I like. Also, the cooler looks so empty all the time. I guess who ever orders does not order enough items. There's never any bread, eggs, milk, or twelve packs of soda and when they do have soda it's always the eight packs of the skinny cans. They got rid of the regular tea in the fountain drinks, and half the time the fountain drinks never work and most of the time it's got an out of order sign on it. Also some of the staff members are very rude and disrespectful during the day. I don't ever remember having an issue with the night shift. The day shift likes talking bad about customers to other customers degrading them and this happens often. I hear so many complaints about the day staff, it's crazy. One day I walked in Circle K and my boyfriend had just got back from crabbing all night. He was smoking a cigarette in the back seat with his eyes closed and a customer walked in saying that a guy is falling asleep out their in a car with a cigarette, it may catch on fire. The manager said, "yeah he's probably messed up on drugs" and " that shows what kind of people we have around hear" I told them no he is just sleepy because he been working all night. The manager just kept saying some smerky remarks. I just walked out. Anyways yesterday a friend walked in and noticed the district manager and the manager behind the counter. They were talking and laughing for the longest time and this is when the store has merchandise that needs to be put up so that the customers can have cold drinks. Also there is never any water or paper towels out by the gas pumps. This place has went to hell.

Best review is > Friendly people! Really nice and clean and just a great spot for a lot of conveniences. I loved the fresh warm sandwiches and especially the hot dogs on fresh buns! The fresh condiments reminds me of the baseball park.

This visit was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. The staff were incredibly helpful and seemed genuinely happy to be there. They assisted us with our Circle K app, explaining the differences between locations in Florida and South Carolina. On top of that, they made absolutely fantastic pizzas!
