Flamingo Boat Tours

Flamingo Adventures, the park's authorized concessioner, runs two different 90-minute boat tours out of Flamingo Marina. The Backcountry Tour heads up the Buttonwood Canal through Coot Bay and Tarpon Creek into Whitewater Bay, with a naturalist narrating the plant, animal, and human history of the area — it's the more popular of the two and runs year-round. The Florida Bay Tour instead heads out into open Florida Bay, with a naturalist pointing out birds, sea life, and the history of Flamingo and its surrounding keys.

Florida Bay tours typically run daily at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. during the winter season (roughly November through mid-April); check current schedules directly with Flamingo Adventures, since hours shift seasonally and the operation scales back in the off-season.
