About

This Fairfield by Marriott sits right in Florida City, about 10 minutes from the main entrance to Everglades National Park. It's a clean, reliable chain hotel that does exactly what you need it to do: comfortable rooms, free breakfast, a 24-hour gym, and an outdoor pool. Nothing fussy, but nothing missing either.

The front desk staff gets mentioned constantly by guests, and for good reason. Victor and Gia have come up by name in multiple reviews from people who felt genuinely looked after. That kind of consistent, warm service is worth something, especially when you're arriving tired after a long drive or a full day in the park.

Families do well here. The pool is a real one (not a token courtyard splash pad), and the included breakfast means you can fuel up before heading out to Anhinga Trail or Royal Palm without stopping anywhere. Rooms are straightforward and well-kept, with suite options if you need a little more space.

Parking is on-site and easy. The location puts you close to Homestead's restaurants and shops, so you've got options in the evening after a day of hiking or paddling. It's a practical, comfortable pick for anyone using Florida City as their base for exploring the Everglades.

We had an amazing stay here during our wedding weekend. From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and welcoming. Victor and Gia at the front desk were incredible—so helpful, kind, and genuinely went above and beyond not just for us, but for all of our guests who were staying at the hotel. They made what could have been a hectic weekend feel smooth and stress-free, always ready to help with anything we needed. There was also a small gift from the hotel waiting for us, which was such a thoughtful touch and really meant a lot. Highly recommend staying here—especially if you’re planning something special. They truly made the experience unforgettable.

Room 317 Room was clean Bathroom too Workers were polite, respectful and professional. But they actually have problems with bugs. First 2 nights I had a bite only on one hand but after the third night a lot more on legs, arms and even neck. Also there is a very weird smell when you enter the room like the carpet wasn’t cleaned in a while.

We stayed here back in February & we reserved a larger ADA room due to my fiancé being in a wheelchair. When we arrived, they had given our ADA room away and only had non-ADA rooms left of the one we reserved. We were not late to check in, we checked in right at check in time. Unprofessional to give our ADA room away that had been reserved for weeks and I exclusively had spoken to the hotel prior that we needed this particular room due to the wheelchair. We ended up being placed in a regular room with an inaccessible shower. The front desk worker didn’t even know if they had shower chairs so we could try and use a non-ADA bathroom. Honestly very unprofessional to give our original reservation away when it was a required ADA room before it was even check in time. The hotel staff did not seem to understand the gravity of what this type of issue can cause for those with disabilities. There was also miscommunication between staff members and what was communicated to me as I was originally told that the room with the ADA bathtub was no longer available, but that the shower one was. When we arrived, we actually did not even know that the room we were being placed in was not ADA accessible until we went up to the room. Upon speaking with the front desk at that point, I explained that no one informed me that the room was not an ADA room, only that the room had a shower instead of the bathtub, but that there was nothing else they could they do since they already gave the other room away that we reserved prior to check in time. When I asked if they had shower chairs, the front desk attendant didn’t even know what that was or if they even had them. Overall was a very unprofessional towards those with disabilities. They need to understand that when an ADA room is booked, and also confirmed directly with the hotel, that those rooms are not changed as those in wheelchairs cannot utilize the other room types.

Breakfast wasn't the greatest, but I'm always happy when it's included. Eggs were very watery. Rooms were clean and overall decent. Felt safe in the parking lot with the police camera nearby. Didn't use the pool, but looked great. If you get a chance, walk around the west side of the hotel in the evening to see some giant cane toads.

Good evening, Although I haven’t received a survey request, I feel that it is equally important to recognize great service and outstanding staff, especially when many people easily complain about everything and leave negative reviews. With that said, I would like to recognize the staff at the front desk when I arrived last night. I apologize for not making a note of her name but I’m sure that is easily figured out. She welcomed me with a smile as an old friend who has been absent for a while. She quickly checked me in and explained the amenities to me all which caught me off guard. I was so touched and thankful, that after cleaning up to get some dinner, I returned to the front desk and thanked her, asking her if I could bring her back something to eat. She returned that lovely smile and declined with gratitude. She is definitely an asset for Fairfield. The room was clean and comfortable. Additionally, the morning breakfast staff was very helpful and friendly. This was a very nice stay and I would definitely return. Thank you for the great service. I will post same on google reviews.
