I reserved our Budget rental truck 3 weeks in advance. We went to go pick up the truck on Saturday at 9am as scheduled and the lady advised us that the truck was not available and she was under the impression someone had called us to let us know. We did not receive any calls. In fact, the day before we had received an email reminding us about our reservation. We saw a truck was parked in the lot that looked like what we rented and she said that one was damaged. She told us that we had to call a 1-800 number to cancel our reservation. Crazy that on top of them potentially ruining our moving day, we also had to spend time calling a 1-800 number to cancel the reservation instead of them doing it automatically for us since they knew the truck was not available. Luckily, we were able to go the U-haul right across the street that did have trucks available. We are so grateful for U-haul and would never use Budget for any rentals.

The lady at the counter at this homestead location had the audacity to tell me I had to wait over an hour for the car that I reserved to be returned, no offer to upgrade or contact another store for the same size car or anything. Lot full of cars but she kept saying you reserved the smallest car. The store was hot, she had someone who didn’t work there behind the counter with her and was happy to deny me my rental since I didn’t have a CC. No type of solution presented or anything, just kept dismissing me and routing me to CS. After talking to customer service, the agent told me I needed to use my actual license number (a 2 minute fix) and not the security code printed on the new drivers license to use a debit card but by that point i had already taken my business elsewhere. I have neverrrrr had that happen to me at budget, usually rep is happy to help you like the customer service lady!

I’ve been waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes waiting to be helped. They have one assistant that’s taking forever to check in someone. He’s there talking and laughing with them while three of us are waiting. Totally not caring of other people’s time. I’m really hoping he doesn’t take as long with the other two people that’s ahead of me.

5 stars for this agency. The mgr went out of his way to help when we had to swap cars after the Mazda SUV we picked up in Orlando had a gas cap cover that wouldn't open. I kid you not. This is the third recent poor experience we've had with Budget but I can't say enough for the effort made at this location to get us on our way with a replacement even though the situation was going to create a problem for him inheriting a car he couldn't rent.
