About

Everglades City Airboat Tours runs small, six-person boats through the mangrove tunnels and open water of the Ten Thousand Islands. That's not a minor detail. Six passengers means you're not crammed onto a stadium-seater with strangers. You're close to the water, close to the guide, and actually able to hear what they're saying.

The guides here are locals, and it shows. Captains like Steve, Dustin, Bryan, and Travis aren't reading from a script. They grew up around this water. You'll get Everglades history, wildlife context, and the kind of off-the-cuff knowledge that only comes from decades of living somewhere. Whether you spot a gator or not (wildlife is wild, after all), you'll leave knowing more than you came with.

This is a family-owned operation, and the reviews reflect it. First-timers consistently mention how comfortable and unhurried the experience feels. It's a real ride through real backcountry, not a theme park version of the Everglades.

Everglades City sits on the Gulf Coast side of the park, about 35 miles south of Naples and a world away from the main park entrance near Homestead. If you're coming from Miami, budget about two hours. It's worth the drive. The Gulf Coast Visitor Center is right down the road, and the town itself is small and worth a slow walk after your tour.

This was amazing! We love the fact that this a local owned, patriotic company owned by strong Christians. Not by people in India like so many of their neighbors. Ask before you book. Plus Travis was an excellent guide!! We had a fantastic time. Thank you!!

Thank you Dustin (our airboat captain) and all the team at Everglades City Airboat Tours for making our experience so awesome! We couldn't have asked for a better time. It was the first airboat ride for my husband and our two boys and they want to go again! Please check these guys out if you want to experience the mangroves, learn about the Everglades, and just a really cool ride.

We had a wonderful time. The boats are small, with only 6 passengers. Our guide, Bryan, was very knowledgeable, and passed this onto us in a clear and informative way, such that I was able to remember a lot of new information I learned on the tour. Unfortunately, the animals were rare on this trip --- a few birds, but no alligators. But the trip through the mangroves on the airboat was thrilling. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. And Bryan gave us a good tip where to see alligators (HP Williams Wayside Park), where we saw 5 swimming while we were there!
