Some sections are still being restored after hurricane damage, so the walkable area is more compact than it'll eventually be. What's open is well-maintained and worth the stop. The observation area at the end of the accessible stretch offers a solid view of the river.
If you're planning a day around the Ten Thousand Islands, this is a natural first stop. Pair it with one of the airboat or kayak tours operating out of Everglades City and you've got a full afternoon. It's also an easy leg-stretch if you're driving the Tamiami Trail between Miami and Naples. Free parking, no tickets, no reservations.

We were supposed to attend a show at the beginning, but it did not take place and no explanation was provided. Additionally, the boat malfunctioned, and we were required to wait under the hot sun while arrangements were made to change boats.

Tiny boardwalk with a little observation view. Doesn’t take long at all to get around.

The portion that is in good repair and accessible is very nice. Much of the walkway was hurricane damaged and is under repair. Adequate now and looking like it will be much better soon.

Probably the very economical choice among the tours around this area. I have visited several stops here, if you plan to have a long ride, of course you can choose other company. The airboat experience for an hour is amazing and we are lucky to observe wild dolphins and alligators here! In addition, they offer a short boardwalk, you are able to take photos with baby alligators.
